Quite simply, Pimalai, is one of the most romantic places in Thailand. Celebrate your love for each other amidst lush tropical forests and endless views of the sparkling Andaman Sea. Pimalai is one of Koh Lanta’s best kept secret, nestled within the solitude and serenity of the surrounding mountains.
The name “Pimalai” is derived from ancient Sanskrit, meaning, “a little patch of Heaven” and true to its name, Pimalai brings you the perfect combination of an idyllic location in a lush natural environment enshrined in shameless luxury!
Guests can enjoy an enviable ‘off the beaten track’ destination, and all the joys of being served and pampered by friendly locals who not only perform their duties efficiently and courteously, but pride themselves on going the extra mile – and that little extra something makes all the difference. Guests’ highly rated comments speak for themselves.
Built around a respect for nature, away from the hustle and bustle of crowded beaches and close to the Lanta Marine National Park, Pimalai is the perfect destination for a dream vacation, romantic wedding or honeymoon.
The 60 minute journey to Koh Lanta on the resort’s speedboat from the Krabi mainland offers incredible sights of Thailand’s smaller islands during the unforgettable transfer.
Nestled amidst 100 acres of tropical vegetation, and offering direct access to over 900 metres of pristine sandy beach, you can lose yourself in the sights and sounds of nature.
The soundtrack is buzzing cicadas, birds calling and eagles hovering majestically in the blue sky above, and mischievous squirrels and monkeys play on the trees surrounding you.
40 years ago, the owners and developers of Pimalai discovered lush, hilly land at the tip of Koh Lanta.
They fell in love with the vivid azure cove, golden strips of sand and the verdant green of the surrounding mountains and realized that such beauty was meant to be shared. So for the next 30 years, the two of them, with a group of like-minded family and friends as business partners, built the Pimalai estate.
Unlike the rest of Koh Lanta which had given way to resorts, beach vendors and the hectic buzz of tourism, the natural setting of Pimalai remains virtually untouched up to this day.
Pimalai is centered around the idea that peace with nature leads to peace on the estate. As such, every detail from its location, to the construction of the resort facilities, was planned and executed with the goal of complementing, not competing with the original environment.
Every aspect of the Pimalai resort experience, from the location and facilities to their staff and service, works in unity to provide fortunate guests with total rest and relaxation.
